When Bill Rucker started as Founder and CEO of American IronHorse in 1995, limited information was available regarding EPA regulations. Locating a laboratory at a reasonable cost was very challenging. Bill received price quotes from $50,000 to $100,000.
As a result of his search for information and a company that would certify his motorcycles, Bill Rucker started Texas Environmental and still owns the company today.
Founded in 1996, Bill Rucker established his own EPA-approved independent emissions laboratory, Texas Environmental, to test factory production.
The laboratory became an outgrowth of the rising demand for companies that needed to regulate motorcycles. The facility is solely devoted to motorcycle testing.
